We are proud to announce our new Spider firmware v3.2.0 has been released. This release of the Spider RFID reader is a feature release. In these release notes you will find all relevant information regarding this software release.
Please note that the basic of all Spider RFID readers is the Spider Core and therefore this release covers all types of Spider RFID readers.
Release notes of the Firmware v3.2.0:
- Added HID Mobile BLE support*. Requires LEGIC OS50 Version 4.0 or higher. Additional HID OMNIKEY SAM module required.
- Support for Apple ECP 2.0 Access SEOS Wallet credentials (Apple Certified)**.
- DESFire file data on a Rijkspas card is now treated as BCD instead of binary.
- Implemented several stability improvements for CCID when handling non-standard dual-mode cards or when executing MIFARE commands on non-MIFARE cards. Added support for MIFARE > 1K.
- Improved Indala card detection by extending the preamble timeout.
- Improved detection of DESFire card with random UID by checking the first byte of the UID (0x80 or 0x08).
- Aligned the NFC ID with the BLE ID in the Spider ID App using a new AID and stronger RSA encryption. The new AID handles the updated ID length, ensuring both new NFC and BLE protocols use the same tag type (57).
- More reliable detection of SEOS credentials in wallets by expanding SEOS probing.
- Improved Spider ID App stability and compatibility across various Samsung Galaxy S-series smartphones.
- Optimized detection accuracy for HID Prox transponders utilizing the N10002 format.
