We are proud to announce our new Spider firmware v3.4.0 has been released. This release of the Spider RFID reader is a feature release. In these release notes you will find all relevant information regarding this software release.

Please note that the basic of all Spider RFID readers is the Spider Core and therefore this release covers all types of Spider RFID readers.

Release notes of the Firmware v3.4.0:

Added/Improved features/Bugfix Spider Firmware:

• Added C15001_VPD format (to several LF technology support) for 3rdParty compatibility.
• Added the 37-bit HID S10401 Amag format for compatibility with AMAG S10401 series credentials.
• Added the 33-bit HID R901592C format for compatibility with native support for RS2-formatted transponders.
• Added the 34-bit HID C10001 format for compatibility with Johnson Controls (JCI) credentials with native bit-order decoding.
• Added support for 3 new formatting profiles regarding ProxLite technology:
  • Casi Rusco 4001: Decodes full badge data including the Facility Code.
  • Casi Rusco 4002: Decodes card numbers directly while ignoring the Facility Code.
  • RAW Swapped: Reverses raw binary sequences on the fly to correct scrambled third-party data streams.
• Added RAW Octal truncated 28-bit format (to several LF technology support) for 3rdParty compatibility. This option masks the least significant 28 bits and outputs it in octal value with 16 digits length.
• Added the 33-bit HID D10202 format for compatibility with native support for DSX access transponders.
• Added configurable setting UART Baud Rate for serial connections.
• Optimized DESFire authentication when using mode Check application and use UID (key optional).
• Improved BLE connection stability in HID RAW mode. 
• After presenting a Seos card the Spider locks into a long SAM communication time-out (broken since 3.2.0).
